Hippie Tapestries

Top: Forever 21// Button-up: Forever 21// Boots: Steve Madden// Sunglasses: H&M

Right when I looked at this 70's tapestry design shirt, I was of course, inspired to create a 70's look. This design is brilliant, and even though our parents might think it is tacky, it is high fashion chic! All of the colors and crazy patterns I adore at the moment are from the 60's/70's decades. To bring out the color and design of the top, I thought i'd wear my orange sheer button-up. A great summer color that, as you can see from past posts, I love to wear! A great pair of jeans went perfectly, and to top off this groovy outfit, I wore my platform boots ;) No jewelry needed. Simple and fierce is all I was going for, but the sunglasses are a hit!

I hope everyone is inspired and has a far out day! ;))

Summer Festival

Excuse my serious/mean look in the first picture, I was caught off guard. It was a wear my hair to the side casual kind of day. This outfit was inspired by all the festival look books that many of the retailers have in honor of the upcoming Coachella festival. I put together a lot of simple items that you can stay cool in while the sun is beating down on you.

I am a huge vest fan. Vests will never go out of style for me. There are so many different styles and ways you can wear them. It is a great addition to any outfit. I especially love the color of this one! Very spring bright! I have vintage jewelry on that I have acquired over time from many different places. They are bold and very "tribal urban." My boots are fabulous and I rarely wear them! It was time to bring them out for this season. I am loving all of the 'booties' that are coming out this season. Perfect to wear with shorts, skirts, or dresses. I am really loving Steve Madden's selection. I am jealous of all of those going to Coachella. Unfortunately, I will not be there, but will live enviously through all the Facebook posts. I hope you are inspired for your summer festival look!

Vintage with a Twist

I am not a big polka dot wearing girl, but this skirt was hard to resist. I have been on the lookout for a sheer "high-low" skirt, and I finally found it! I was iffy about these skirts, but I have realized how gorgeous and funky these skirts are. A cute way to show off your legs while keeping that flowy glam look. The polka dots aren't too big or small; they are just right. Crazy how even the smallest details like the size of the dot matters, but it is a huge deal. LOL

I thought I would accessorize with classic colors. I love the black and white combo with a hint of red, very 50's. I love the belt's clasp very detailed and unique. I am usually a gold and bold jewelry wearer, but silver was perfect with the belt. I am wearing my taupe wedges because wedges are great for the summer. This was one of my favorite shoots because the skirt was so flowy and fun to work with! I hope everyone enjoys it!

Adventures on Melrose

I just thought I would share a few photos from my last trip to Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, CA. It is only about a 40 minute drive without traffic for me and it is well worth the drive. Even if you don't find great items at the thrift shops, there are great restaurants and fun independent coffee shops everywhere. It was a beautiful day to thrift shop and hit the West Hollywood area. I love Melrose because of the great thrift shops. My favorite shop is Wasteland. It has theee best selection of vintage items and new designs such as Dolce Vita, Mink Pink and more! I found some great items that you will see in future outfit posts :]
The outfit I chose to wear on this sunny, warm day is very simple. I was feeling very Zoey Deschannel, again. This dress is from H&M and I love the style. The cat designs topped this dress off with cuteness. I love any animal print ;). I am wearing my vintage style shoes because they just went so well with the dress! My mint cross-body bag was purchased at a thrift shop a few months ago, and I love it to death! It just doesn't have enough room for my everyday essentials, sadly. Don't you hate that!?! LOL.
After a day of shopping and walking, I ended it with a perfect Spanish Latte from Urth Caffe. If you are ever in the area, check it out! It is pretty small and busy, so be ready to wait in line for a while. It is so worth it! I had a yummy organic oatmeal cookie along with the latte. They have the best treats, and everything is organic and fresh :] I hope everyone gets a chance to visit.

Leopard and Leather

After my weekend break, I am finally back, and in a fierce fashion mood. I felt the need to wear these ravishing boots. They are a great addition to any outfit, really. They give the outfit the high fashion chic look that can be worn at a club or strolling down melrose ave. They may look awkward and uncomfortable, but I could wear these all day, blister free! I don't know how Steve Madden did it, but these gorgeous boots are just right.

It was a sunny and cool spring day which allowed me to wear this great faux leather jacket. I absolutely love the collar and motorcycle style it has. Underneath, I am wearing a spring must have, a sheer cropped button up. Orange and leopard is one of my favorite combinations. Leopard and any bright color really, but I am definitely feeling orage lately. Black jeans and a simple black cross-body bag finished off this outfit along with my large oval rings.

I hope everyone enjoyed and is inspired for the day!

Tribal Diva

Good afternoon Fashionistas!

It was about time for a Afro Funk kind of look. It was such a shame that these pants were only worn once, so I had to bring them out. With all the tribal designs going on I had to throw in even more detailing with the laced blouse. I felt I wanted more than one degin going on, so that is exactly what I did.  I highly recommend it. These are harem inspired pants without all of the bagginess going on at the top. They are a light cotton material and fairly loose. They look great with heeled boots, too! I was going for more of a summer look. The laced shirt is great with a cute bandeau underneath. Keep away from wearing a tank top underneath! Show off what the laced shirt wants you to show off! It completely takes away from the laced look wearing a full tank underneath.
As for accessories. I thought I needed bold "statement" jewelry. Enter, Antique Gold Pieced earrings! These are great, especially with your hair up. I did not want too much gold going on, so I wore a great choker  black necklace with a touch of gold to compliment the earrings. Last, but not least, are the wedges! Perfect for summer. An evenly dispersed wedge, that it. Wedge in the front, and wedge in the back. Takes some time getting used to walking in them, but they look great!

Fashion Vixen

Welcome back fashionistas!
I fell in love with this skirt that I spotted in a rack of filled with vintage skirts at a close Buffalo Exchange!
It is always a hit or miss there, but this last visit was a major hit! I was on the search for long skirts and I definitely hit the jackpot! This is a gorgeous long sheer see through skirt with a short layer underneath. It is very convenient and very sexy! These skirts are everywhere right now and anyone can pull it off. I was going for a classy and sexy look, I mean, look at this skirt! It was the perfect look. To complete this look I had to choose my Jessica Simpson heels. I have had them forever and they just never get old. Let me know what you think! I hope this inspires your next sexy date, cocktail, or girl's night out outfit!

Mellow Yellow

     Brighten up your Wednesday :]

Hey there fashionistas!
I had to take advantage of this gorgeous sunny yet cool day. That is why I thought i'd whip out my bright and warm sweater from H&M. H&M has some really great simple items at a great price. Everything is at a great low price there, but this sweater was def worth the 15.00 I paid for it! Same goes for the clutch and the purple pumps! I love bringing out the black and white color combo and adding a bright color to it! Makes the bright colors stand out! These pumps are great! They go with a cute pair of jeans to make a casual outfit look chic. Of course, I had to have the bright gold jewelry in the mix :] Instead of layering bangles I wanted one cuff that stood out. I hope everyone enjoys and please let me know what you think!

Chic and Sleek

Finally! After a few days of not blogging, I am back. I have been so busy with school, work, and interning. Please excuse the setting. Unfortunately, it was dark outside, but I had to get some shots of this outfit. A little something I decided to put together for a date night. I wanted to stay comfy and warm, so I chose this slouchy, oversized sweater from forever 21. I have two H&M sweaters layered over each other, and sleek black pants from Forever 21. Check out the boots! First time wearing them. They are from Zara. Very comfy and chic. Since this was a very chic, neutral colored outfit, I thought I would accessorize with my new Urban Expressions handbag and gold bangles. Of course, there had to be some bright pieces. That is where my Forever 21 rings came in to play. Spring may be coming up, and I may be excited for all the bright colors...BUT I will always love the chic and sleek neutral colors and outfits :] Anytime I need to feel high fashion chic..... I throw on black pants, a neutral colored shirt, and a great pair of wedges or heels and usually put my hair up in a bun. Instantly you feel like a high fashion model. Silly, I know, but Tyra Banks says it herself in America's Next Top Model, when she is giving advice to the models. LOL I hope this gives everyone a little inspiration to put together a chic, high fashion outfit and hit the town!

Have a lovely one <3<3

Boho Chic

One of favorite decades to look back on is the 70's. Farrah Fawcett hair, flared pants, and stripes! When picking out this outfit I had to focus on one item that was really in the mood to wear, and that is when I chose the lovely head wrap. An accessory for the "noggin." It really pumps up the hair and gives my hair the "Farrah waves." I decided from there, that I would start wearing items in my closet that have been neglected over the past years. I hate the idea of wearing something once, and after that it just sits in my closet for who knows how long. It took some co-workers of mine, to make me realize that I must break this bad habit. Hopefully, there are a lot of you out there who feel my pain. From here on out I am focusing on the poor neglected items in my closet that are dying to be worn!
