Summer Festival

Excuse my serious/mean look in the first picture, I was caught off guard. It was a wear my hair to the side casual kind of day. This outfit was inspired by all the festival look books that many of the retailers have in honor of the upcoming Coachella festival. I put together a lot of simple items that you can stay cool in while the sun is beating down on you. 

I am a huge vest fan. Vests will never go out of style for me. There are so many different styles and ways you can wear them. It is a great addition to any outfit. I especially love the color of this one! Very spring bright! I have vintage jewelry on that I have acquired over time from many different places. They are bold and very "tribal urban." My boots are fabulous and I rarely wear them! It was time to bring them out for this season. I am loving all of the 'booties' that are coming out this season. Perfect to wear with shorts, skirts, or dresses. I am really loving Steve Madden's selection. I am jealous of all of those going to Coachella. Unfortunately, I will not be there, but will live enviously through all the Facebook posts. I hope you are inspired for your summer festival look!

Vintage with a Twist

I am not a big polka dot wearing girl, but this skirt was hard to resist. I have been on the lookout for a sheer "high-low" skirt, and I finally found it! I was iffy about these skirts, but I have realized how gorgeous and funky these skirts are. A cute way to show off your legs while keeping that flowy glam look. The polka dots aren't too big or small; they are just right. Crazy how even the smallest details like the size of the dot matters, but it is a huge deal. LOL

I thought I would accessorize with classic colors. I love the black and white combo with a hint of red, very 50's. I love the belt's clasp very detailed and unique. I am usually a gold and bold jewelry wearer, but silver was perfect with the belt. I am wearing my taupe wedges because wedges are great for the summer. This was one of my favorite shoots because the skirt was so flowy and fun to work with! I hope everyone enjoys it!

Welcome back fashionistas!

I fell in love with this skirt that I spotted in a rack of filled with vintage skirts at a close Buffalo Exchange! 

It is always a hit or miss there, but this last visit was a major hit! I was on the search for long skirts and I definitely hit the jackpot! This is a gorgeous long sheer see through skirt with a short layer underneath. It is very convenient and very sexy! These skirts are everywhere right now and anyone can pull it off. I was going for a classy and sexy look, I mean, look at this skirt! It was the perfect look. To complete this look I had to choose my Jessica Simpson heels. A Flintstone kind of look

Happy Sunday Everyone!

As I was posting these pictures I couldn't help but think of Pebbles from the Flintstones!!

The bun, the colors and triangles on the dress, and the large necklace. I purchased this dress recently at a thrift store, what a great find, right?! I can dress this lovely piece up with heels and a blazer or dress it down with cute sandals or flats. This is an old necklace and one of my faves from Forever 21, and the large braided bracelet is from downtown LA. Instead of wearing layers upon layers of jewelry I thought i'd wear a couple of big pieces.  The color of my gorgeous Steve Madden platform heels went perfectly! I love wearing a cute little dress or skirt with these heels. I don't want to take away from them by wearing pants, odd I know, but i'm sure you fashionistas get it! Mango Fringe!

It was a casual and comfortable outfit for this photo shoot. I just HAD to wear my new vintage sweater because it was nice and cold outside. It was only right that I had some pics with this amazing "fringe-tastic" bag! Check out the great detailing and long "statement" fringes. It is a brilliant bag that will go with any summer outfit! Mismatching is definitely what this bag calls for. So don't over think it and try to match it with the perfect colored shoe or dress. I am really loving these types of bags for the summer! mismatching and patterns galore :] This is a really great brand, Melie Bianco. Great finds for the day

Hey there Fashionistas!

I thought I would share some great items I bought today! I was in the Fashion District in Downtown Los Angeles buying for Speckled Hens. Anyways, Downtown LA's Fashion District, a great place that all fashionistas need to experience at least once. The endless amount of stores that you can buy mass amounts of clothing, accessories, and whatever else Fashion related you can think of. From 7am to about 5pm the streets and stores are filled with tons of people looking for great deals whether it be for themselves or for their retail/ online stores. Everyone hunting for the Top Sellers. It is great! Yes, it is a little exhausting searching thru isles and isles for hours. I know crazy, right?! How can it be exhausting shopping?! It really is looking at every single item carefully and figuring out if it is right for your customer.......Yes, very tiring. What helped was picking out some wonderful items for myself :] That is what you see underneath the text. All the jewelry and accessories are what I found in the District. The great big "statement" earrings that you need to wear with your hair up, so everyone can see them. The knotted, chunky bracelet. The simple yet unique layered necklace with a gorgeous stone, and the classic clutch with great detailing and the cute little tassel. The sweater above is actually from a Vintage Shop right next to Speckled Hens. This is located in the cute downtown village of Claremont, CA. If you around here check these stores out!
